I’m Shaun, the owner of Greater Construction, and my journey in the building industry began with a simple desire: to create affordable homes for families in Auckland. After completing my building apprenticeship in Australia, I spent a decade running my own commercial construction company, delivering projects for various government entities. But upon returning to New Zealand in 2022, I recognized a pressing need for REAL affordable housing, and I knew I had to pivot my focus.

What drives me every day is not just the act of building, but the relationships I forge along the way. I believe in empowering those around me, whether it’s my team, clients, or the communities we serve. I’m proud to say that we are the first company to deliver government-funded housing for the Pasifika community, and we’ve also successfully delivered a new office for the Franklin Basketball Association by raising funds and collating generous local trades and suppliers who supplied materials and labour at no cost to give back to an organisation that gives so much to the community.

At Greater Construction, we pride ourselves on our clear and regular communication ensuring that our clients are involved every step of the way. With 25 homes completed in the last year alone, we’ve built a reputation for delivering high quality affordable homes and reliability. Our repeat clients, like KCR Properties, have come to trust us for our commitment to excellence, and we’re honored to have built 17 homes for them across multiple projects.

When I’m not on-site or managing projects, you can find me spending quality time with my family or traveling to create lifelong memories together.
